Host of Bulldogs advance to district tennis finals

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint’s Broc Storro lost the first set and was trailing 4-1 in the second set, before rallying to take down Lakeland’s Colin Burkhalter 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) in the semis of the boys singles on the first day of the 4A Region 1 tennis championships Friday at Travers Park, Lakeview Courts and City Beach.

Cassidy Story advanced to the finals as well, and will have her hands full against Moscow’s Victoria Wilke, who won the singles recently at the Inland Empire Tournament in Spokane.
