Kalispel, students share stories, ideas
SANDPOINT — Members of the Kalispel Tribe traveled to Farmin Stidwell Elementary on Tuesday to listen to fourth-grade students talk about what they had learned about regional native peoples as part of five months of study of Idaho history.
Tribal member Wilma Cullooyah, her daughter Kayleen Sherwood and granddaughter Wiset, along with Sherwood’s fiancé Anthony, and Raymond Finley and his daughter, Precious, listened as, one-by-one, students presented their work and learning of Kalispel and other regional tribal culture and history.
