SANDPOINT — A handful of Bulldogs will be vying for state titles this weekend at the 4A Idaho State Track and Field Championships in Boise, as Sandpoint is sending 20 athletes to state.
The Bulldog boys, fresh off their third straight district title, are sending 14 and the girls team will send six. Bulldogs head coach Dave DeMers said the key for the Bulldog boys is depth, and the ability to score in so many events.
“Sweeping districts in the shot put is impressive, with Carlos (Collado), Sam (Palmer), Nate (Dillon) and Josh (Suto),” said DeMers. “We also swept the 3,200.”
