Education is key to safe biking for all

Now that it’s May and National Bike Month, I was looking forward to riding my old Schwin, until an unrelated injury grounded me. So I’m on foot for now. Which is why I was stepping out on the sidewalk on Saturday morning to go to the first Farmers Market of the season. I had parked behind a building on Church Street across from the post office to take advantage of a shady parking spot, so I accessed the sidewalk a ways from the crosswalk alongside the building. I never imagined I should look both ways first!
