Woolnough named to Parkinson's panel
SANDPOINT — Retired Bonner County educator A.C. Woolnough has been named to the People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation has announced.
Woolnough is a former English teacher, principal and superintendent of the Lake Pend Oreille School District.
The council is made up of people living with Parkinson’s disease and care partners who help drive the foundation’s goals of ending the disease and supporting those affected by it.
“My recent diagnosis of Parkinson’s shed light on the challenges of living with a chronic disease in a rural community,” Woolnough said in a statement. “I am enthusiastic about working with PDF to bring information and support to people with Parkinson’s and care partners who reside in rural or remote areas.”
