SANDPOINT — Idaho Panhandle National Forests Supervisor Mary Farnsworth singed a decision memo Monday approving a forest health and hazardous fuels reduction project north of Priest River.
The Jasper Mountain project involves 2,037 acres of U.S. Forest Service lands that are located entirely within a wildland urban interface and was designed by the Secretary of Agriculture in 2014 as part of an insect and disease treatment program at the request of the state of Idaho.
