Coats 4 Kids drive a success

SANDPOINT — Coats are still available at the Bonner Mall for children and adults after another successful Coats 4 Kids campaign.

Karen Battenschlag, a realtor for Tomlinson Sotheby’s and an organizer for the event, said Bonner County has shown great support for the coat drive.

“I am happy to report that we are still receiving coats,” Battenschlag said. “Bonner County is awesome, I think we may meet our goal this year.”

Just shy of the 1,000 coat goal, the drive has collected 967 coats, 152 winter hats, 46 sets of gloves or mittens, 37 winter scarves, 37 pairs of winter boots and 20 pairs of snow pants. Battenschlag said the numbers are still increasing.
