Community's support led to successful season

| November 12, 2015 6:00 AM

It has been another successful and memorable season at Mystic Farm Wildlife Rescue, Inc.

Nine viable rescue fawns were released this year, with another “little tiny” — coming in as an extremely late season birth — still growing and thriving at the farm. We literally received hundreds of calls this year. Many were from people needing referrals for animals other than what we rescue, but as many were from folks seeking advice on what to do with what they thought to be an “abandoned” ungulate. We were able to walk them through the steps of “do not touch” or putting the baby back where they found it to re-unite with the mother. Now, that is true success.
