SANDPOINT — Anglers of all ages will be shoving off later this month during the 2015 running of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club Fall Derby.

The eight-day fishing competition runs from Nov. 21-25 and Nov. 27-29. The competition pauses on Thanksgiving Day.

“We’ve got over $10,000 in prizes,” said LPOIC President Barbara Gillespie.

The club has upped the members’ bonus award from $2,000 to $2,500 for LPOIC members who place in the adult rainbow trout division. The $2,500 sum will be split evenly among club members who place in the standings.

The first-, second-, and third-place finishers in the adult rainbow division stand to win, $2,000, $1,000 and $750, respectively. Fourth- and fifth-place finishers can win $500 and $250.
