Schoening signs letter of intent to play at Montana

SANDPOINT — As a seventh-grader growing up in Lewiston, Madi Schoening began to have dreams about playing college basketball, before moving to Sandpoint prior to her freshman year. 

Since then she’s developed her game, emerging as one of the top players in the state and leaving her name scattered all over the Bulldog record books.

This week ,the senior signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season at the University of Montana, picking the school over other suitors that included Eastern Washington, Boise State, Montana State, Colorado State and Portland State. A visit to Missoula ultimately sealed the deal.
