EMS offers trauma care for teachers

SANDPOINT — Bonner County EMS is conducting outreach at local schools to teach trauma care for teachers.

Bonner EMS officials conducted a training session at Forrest M. Bird Charter School earlier this month on beyond-first-aid care and standard response plans in the event of an active shooter incident.

“We’d like to get it out to every other school in the district,” Bonner EMS Chief Bob Bussey said.
