Economic summit announced

PONDERAY — The region’s economy will take center stage at next week’s Sandpoint Economic Summit 2015.

Hosted by the Greater the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, the summit is sponsored by D.A. Davidson & Co. and will be held at the Sandpoint Technology Center (former Coldwater Creek corporate headquarters) auditorium, 130 McGhee Road in Ponderay.

The summit will be held Thursday, Oct. 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

This annual event, held each October, is focused around the community’s economy, featuring Litehouse Foods and Quest Aircraft, two of Sandpoint’s top employers, as keynote speakers to cover local, regional, and global economic issues. All are invited to attend and learn about the current state of the economy and visions for the future.
