Leashes are important

I wanted to take a minute to express my concerns about people who are ignoring the leash law in Sandpoint.

I walk my dog daily and daily I encounter a problem with dogs at large. Last week, a large dog charged at us taking my dog to the ground. It was terrifying and thankfully my dog was unharmed. Sunday, Sept. 27, a 7-pound dog ran up on us running circles around my dog and I. Not a large dog, not a scary dog, but an unleashed dog creating chaos. Had I not kept my dog on a short leash and close to me, I have no doubt she would have harmed this little dog.
