CLARK FORK β€” Another landowner is entering the legal quagmire surrounding Shadow Valley Lane.

Counsel for Greg and Lynn Headrick filed suit against two couples who are pursuing their own suit to prevent the road from being declared a public right of way.

It’s the third civil action filed in relation to the route, which bisects property owned by Matthew and Elizabeth Deen. The Deens and neighbors David and June Walker are suing the county over its determination that Shadow Valley Lane has been a public thoroughfare since the early 1900s.

Bonner County countersued the Deens to solidify its contention that Shadow Valley Lane is public. The Headricks filed suit in 1st District Court on Monday also asserting the road is public.
