Kramer to highlight special Friday night lights

| October 9, 2015 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — One of the greatest offensive linemen in the history of the NFL will be at Barlow Stadium tonight, as Jerry Kramer will present a gold football to Sandpoint High School at halftime of the Sandpoint vs. Lakeland 4A Inland Empire League tilt tonight at Barlow Stadium.

The former Green Bay Packer, Idaho Vandal and Bulldog offensive lineman and kicker returns to the field where he first made a name for himself as a youth, the field named for his coach Cotton Barlow.

The Bulldogs (3-3) jumped back into the top five in the 4A state rankings after blowing out 5A Lake City last week, and their record looks better and better as their first four opponents continue to roll up impressive wins.

The defense continues to gel, holding the past two opponents under 20 points and 300 yards, benchmarks that will usually win games.
