Crisis in Idaho is real and growing
The mental health crisis is real and it’s growing. It’s affecting friends, family and neighbors in North Idaho. You may know about the depression or anxiety some of your friends face — but others you may not. Studies show that 1 in every 5 people will experience a mental health crisis in their lifetime.
Despite the sad reality of the mental health crisis — I am hopeful. North Idaho’s most recent community health assessment asked community members and medical professionals what they see as the greatest health issues in our communities. The results were clear: treating mental health is a top priority for people in North Idaho.
