SAGLE — The Bonner County Planning & Zoning Commission is conducting a public hearing next month on the county’s plan to establish an EMS station in Sagle.

The hearing is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Bonner County Administration Building at the corner of U.S. Highway 2 and Division Avenue.

The multi-use EMS station would be located on county-owned property north of the solid waste collection site at the intersection of U.S. Highway 95 and Dufort Road.

Cary Kelly, chairman of the county’s board of commissioners, said the county acquired the 20-acre parcel several months ago to ensure that the waste site does not become displaced when U.S. 95 is eventually widened in Sagle.

“At the same time, we were looking at possible sites to house our EMS station south of the Long Bridge,” said Kelly.
