Sandpoint sweeps team titles at district meet

| October 23, 2015 7:00 AM

ATHOL — Sophomore Katherine Kaul finished second in 19:47, and the Bulldog boys and girls team won district titles on Thursday at the 4A Region 1 cross country meet at Farragut State Park.

The Bulldog girls, the two-time reigning state champions, cruised to a 23-point win. Hannah Davidson, Cori McClelland, Rainey Woodward and Sharon Rowe took the third though sixth spots, all runners that can contend for a medal at state.

“The girls ran great,” Sandpoint girls coach Angie Brass said. “All of them did really well. It’s a dress rehearsal for next weekend and also building some confidence and seeing that course again. They did a good job of packing up and running for each other, and did a great job at it.”
