| September 9, 2015 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — It was dead even for the first four sets, before Lake City jumped out quickly and rolled to an easy fifth set win, downing Sandpoint 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-2 on Tuesday night in nonleague volleyball at Les Rogers Court.

Ariana Stephenson tallied 16 kills and four aces, Klaire Mitchell added 13 digs and Christina Carlson four blocks to lead Lake City.

“Sometimes you’ve got to win ugly. It was nice to see us settle down at times,” said Lake City coach Brian Hosfeld, who liked his team’s resilience. “When it’s not going the way you’re used to, you can separated, and we came together.”
