Community review set in Kootenai

KOOTENAI — The city is teaming up with the Idaho Rural Partnership to conduct a conduct a community review from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.

As part of the review process, residents of the city and outlying areas are being asked to fill out a survey coming in the mail or to fill it out online. The deadline to submit a survey Friday, Sept. 18 so the results can be compiled and presented during an Oct. 1 public meeting at the atrium of the Sandpoint Technology Center, formerly known as Coldwater Creek's headquarters.

During the review, a team of experts will spend three days focusing on three key areas — economic development, transportation infrastructure and community design and identity. Community reviews have been conducted in 25 rural communities over the last 15 years.
