MULLAN — After consecutive matches against 3A opponents, Clark Fork finally picked on someone its own size, sweeping Mullan 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 in North Star League home opening volleyball action on Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.

Leslie Kiebert led the Wampus Cats (2-2, 1-0 NSL) with five kills, Brooke Stevens seven set assists and Emily Garman two aces, as head coach Cindy Derr enjoyed the chance to get some players varsity minutes in a league match.

“I was able to play 12 players tonight, and got some solid play off the bench,” said Derr. “It’s always nice to get them some experience.”

Clark Fork will host Wallace on Tuesday.
