All the public wants is to be involved in process

| September 22, 2015 7:00 AM

Sandpoint is about to hire a city administrator in a closed hiring process, as noted in a Bee story on Sept. 16. Rather astonishing news given the need for transparency in government.

There will be no public input in choosing the person to fill this challenging, powerful and really historic position. City Attorney Campbell is just wrong, dismissing the job as just another department head. It strikes me that not allowing public input is tantamount to changing the form of government we have. It will affect almost every issue facing the city, and the county, too.
