SANDPOINT — A preliminary hearing is set for today in the case of a Clark Fork woman accused of leading Idaho State Police on a high-speed chase in Hope earlier this month.

Katie Ann Meredith is charged with felony eluding and misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence, driving without privileges and failure to maintain liability insurance. She is being held in lieu of $10,000, although a motion for bond reduction is pending.

State police attempted to pull Meredith over on Highway 200 for tailgating another motorist on Sept. 10. Meredith began to yield, but then took off and reached speeds of 85 mph in 55 and 45 mph speed zones while overtaking other motorists in a no-passing zone, according to court records.
