Body found in Roman Nose area
BONNERS FERRY — Details are scant amid the discovery of a body in a remote area of Boundary County earlier this week.
The body was recovered from the Roman Nose Lake area west of Naples and south of Bonners Ferry sometime this week, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
The age, gender or condition of the body were not being released by the sheriff’s office to protect the integrity of the investigation.
“At this time, we are unable to release the deceased subject’s identity,” Rich Stephens, chief deputy of the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, said in a press release. “The subject has been deceased for a considerable time, making identification and cause of death more difficult.”
