Allison B. Dreier, 69

Allison B. Dreier, 69, was born May 16, 1946, in Seattle, Wash., to Chet and Cecile Dreier. She passed away unexpectedly March 22, 2016, at her residence in Clackamas, Ore.

Allison grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho, and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1964. She then graduated from Washington State University in Pullman in 1969 with a bachelor of arts in fine arts.

While attending Washington State University, Allison met her future husband, Dan Mondragon, and they had one son, Mike Mondragon, whom they raised in Pullman.

On summer breaks from college Allison worked at the Nordstrom shoe store in Seattle and after college she worked for Washington State University. Later, she became a life insurance agent for Northwestern Mutual Life in Pullman. She spent the last 20 years living in Oregon, having originally moved there to be near her parents before their passing. Allison also worked for Meier and Frank at Clackamas Town Center in Clackamas.

Allison loved art and remained an artist her entire life, painting with acrylic paints and watercolors. She was very proud when she became a grandparent to Danny Mondragon, currently age 5, and Maggie Mondragon, currently age 2.

Allison is survived by her son and her two grandchildren, who currently reside on Bainbridge Island, Wash. She is also survived by her eldest sister, Marilyn Brown, who resides in Canby, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and also her older sister, Marcia Mallory, of Saint Maries, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes, 11667 SE Stevens Road, Happy Valley, OR 97086.
