Philip Forrester Kopcke

Philip Forrester Kopcke, born April 4, 1938, to Maurice and Margaret Kopcke in Erie, Pa., passed away on Aug. 3, 2015, at the age of 77 at his home in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Phil served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1964.

He was the father of Raymond F. Kopcke and Ellen Kopcke-Lewis; the grandfather of Chelsea L. Kopcke, Bradley F. Kopcke, David Christopher Dalby, Robert S. Brunner and Donald Philip Gregory; great-grandfather of Lilly and Milla Brunner and Gianna Gregory.

He was most remembered as a co-owner of Riccardo's Pizza in the late 1960s and early 1970s, until he established Sandpoint Landscaping in 1973, which he operated in the summer and worked security at Schweitzer in the winters.

A memorial will be held in his honor at 5480 Selle Road in Sandpoint, Idaho, at the home of his daughter on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 3 p.m.

He requested a barbecue potluck and bonfire event in his honor to celebrate his life and his caring friends and extended family who supprted him during his life and illness.

So please, dress comfortable and bring a chair to sit a spell and remember him.
