Bonner EMS welcomes new hires

SANDPOINT — Bonner County EMS has hired Anthony Emord as a full-time EMT and Eric Wright as a full-time Advanced EMT, BCEMS Chief Bob Bussey announced today.

Emord, who started in fire and EMS in 2003, has experience working in large urban EMS systems in California and Texas. He has recently completed his clinical rotations for advanced EMT and is preparing to sit for the National Registry practical and written examinations. He lives in Priest River with his wife and stepson.

After 9/11, Wright trained as a combat medic at Ft. Sam Houston in Texas and served two tours in Iraq as a combat lifesaver instructor from 2004-2005 and 2007-2008. He has also worked in a rural EMS system, as an Emergency Department trainer in a Level 1 trauma center and as a contract EMT for the U.S. Department of State. He lives in Sandpoint with his wife and three young children.
