Info sought on injured man

SANDPOINT — Idaho State Police are asking the public for information it may have after a 19-year-old pedestrian was found unresponsive on North Boyer Avenue early Monday morning.

State police described the incident involving Jordan T. Williams as a “pedestrian crash,” although it was unclear if he was struck by a motorist, had fallen or suffered some other form of trauma. A request for clarification by ISP was pending at press time.

Emergency responders were summoned to Boyer's intersection with Mountain View Drive at 12:41 a.m., after Williams was found in the southbound lane of travel on Boyer AVENUE at 12:34 a.m., according to a Bonner EMS run report.

Advanced life-support measures were requested at the scene and Williams was evacuated from the scene by helicopter. He was flown to Kootenai Health hospital in Coeur d'Alene.

Williams was listed in critical condition on Monday afternoon, according to Lisa Aitken, a Kootenai Health spokeswoman.

Williams is the second pedestrian in Bonner County this year to be injured on a public roadway under unclear circumstances.

Mark E. Bouse, 16, was injured while walking eastbound on Selle Road on Feb. 2. State police said he was struck by an eastbound pickup truck. As of Monday, no citations or charges have been filed against the motorist who struck Bouse, according to the Idaho Statewide Trial Courts Automated Records System.
