Playhouse welcomes Broken Whistle

Pend Oreille Players is tickled green to host “Broken Whistle” once again! You won’t be able to keep your feet still. Broken Whistle will play for one night at the Pend Oreille Playhouse, 236 S Union; Friday, April 15th. The concert begins at 7 pm.

Broken Whistle is a young Celtic band from Eastern Washington. Using three fiddles, an upright bass, rich vocal harmonies, and a wide variety of acoustic instrument combinations, Broken Whistle shares the energetic beauty of the Celts with audiences everywhere. The band emphasizes the variety in Celtic music, from gentle traditional ballads, to sparkling contemporary reels, to compelling vocals. All five players—David McGuire (guitar, whistles), Chris Reichert (vocals, assorted strings), Kelcey Hanson (fiddle), Justus Morgan (bodhrán), and Ella Wilkinson (fiddle, bass) — bring infectious passion and skill to audiences everywhere.
