SANDPOINT — Tanis Davis and Taylor Stalder hit home runs in the second game, and Audrey Matilla had seven strikeouts in the opener, as the Bulldog JV softball team swept Moscow recently by the scores of 12-5 and 14-4.

Emma Loutzenhiser, Ember Dewey and Stalder each had two hits in the opener, and Davis ripped a double to back a strong outing from Matilla. Other Bulldog hits included Zoe Speelmon and Madisyn Kucherry.

Davis went the distance in the nightcap, recording five strikeouts and helped by a strong game behind the plate from Dewey. Dewey and Logan Sanborn each had doubles to complement the two home runs, with Speelmon and Shawnee Webb also adding hits.

The Bulldogs were aggressive on the base paths, and the wins signify a bright future for the program.
