Dance marathon to aid senior center

| April 22, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Come have fun and help out one of the county’s most valuable services — Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc.

SASi provides social, educational and physical activities for elders in our community as well as about 25,000 meals a year at the Sandpoint Senior Center and through home delivered meals. Alzheimer’s and memory care is provided at the DayBreak Center giving caregivers much-needed respite. You can help support these services Saturday, April 23, at the Bonner County Fairgrounds by taking part in a dance marathon.

The event — which is open to everyone — will start at 3 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Dinner is being donated by area restaurants including Ivano’s, Trinity, Tango, Winter Ridge and will be served at 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. A silent auction will be going on at 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

A cash bar will be provided and music will be from the ’20s to the present by DJ and musician, Jake Robin.

Tickets are on sale at the center, 820 Main; $20 for adults (including dinner), $10 for children under 12 (including dinner) and $10 for entrance without dinner. Tickets will also be available at the door. Information: 208-263-6860
