McClelland, Kennaly grab seconds in the 800

POST FALLS — Hannah Davidson (400), Cori McClelland (800) and Katherine Kaul (3,200) each finished second to lead Sandpoint at the annual Christia Finney Relays meet at Post Falls High.

Team scores were combined between the boys and girls to get the final team score in the event.

Mark Kennaly was second in the 800 with a personal best of 2:00 and Cole Hooper was second in the pole vault for the Bulldog boys team.

The meet was delayed shortly with three events remaining due to a rain and lightning storm.

“It was beautiful until the storm came in,” Post Falls coach Wade Quesnell said. “It kind of hit, but we were able to get the rest of it in. Up until then, there was some good marks until the storm hit.”

Sandpoint is at Timberlake on Friday.
