For me, there is no question that Dan McDonald is the candidate I’m supporting as county commissioner for Bonner County District 3.

Dan cares about his community. You’ll see him regularly attending commissioners’ meetings to stay on top of issues. However, he is involved in the community in other ways as well.

As a member of Oden Citizens for Appropriate Land Use, he was instrumental in opposing a 2-million-gallon sewer lagoon planned for Oden Bay that would have caused tremendous lake pollution. As an ordinary citizen, he saw a family of six suffering in a 6-foot by 10-foot structure during the winter and organized material donations and volunteer labor and oversaw the design and construction of a home for them. As Founder of Citizens for Common Sense in Sandpoint, he opposed the tactics of abolitionists harassing people with grotesque signs and verbal assaults.

We need that kind of can-do attitude.
