Lost in the '50s breakfast today

SANDPOINT — You may have to wait until next month to get Lost in the ’50s, but you can help the Selkirk Association of Realtors raise funds for the annual homage to classic cars, poodle skirts and great music.

The breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and runs through 1 p.m. at Second Avenue Pizza, 215 S. Second Ave. Your favorite real estate professionals will be cooking and serving.

Lost in the ’50s kicks off Thursday, May 19, with Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven XII. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Friday finds vintage and classic cars making their way through Sandpoint’s downtown at 6 p.m., with a show and dance following at the Bonner County Fairgrounds at 7:30 p.m. Performing will be The Flamingos, Chris Montez and “house band” Rocky and the Rollers.

Also Friday, a street dance will be held in the downtown area following the parade.

On Saturday, the classic cars will fill Sandpoint’s streets from 9:30-3:45 p.m. A second show and dance will be held at the fairground; doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the fun begins at 7:30 p.m. Performing will be Chubby Checker, Johnny Tillotson and “house band” Rocky and the Rollers.

On Sunday, the Aspirin Rally Run concludes the fun with a 5K run at 10 a.m. and a car rally at 11:30 a.m.
