—Courtesy photo Former Sandpoint track standout Lani Wahl finished 16th in the triple jump at the Northwest Conference Championships in Portland, Oregon last weekend, helping Whitworth University win the team title. Wahl, a sophomore who eclipsed 33 feet in the triple jump and also did the long jump for the Pirates this season, is considering trying the Heptathlon next year. At Sandpoint, she won district championships in both the long and triple jumps, and also went to state on the sprint medley relay team.
