What happened to the Bee’s website? You now have to have a Facebook page to post on the blog and it posts where you work? Guess they want to weed out us undesirables.

The main reason for this letter is the reoccurring issue of city-mandated sidewalks. As I and other have stated previously, sidewalks, especially in residential areas, are seldom utilized and/or lead to nowhere.

Just the other day while driving down Spruce to Division, a couple around my age was walking abreast east on the north side of the street even though there was a fairly new sidewalk that lead from just behind Lincoln School to Division. I started to go around them when the man fell in behind the woman. The next day on the way to work, a man was walking on the west side of Boyer, in the street even thought there was a nice wide sidewalk on the east side of the street.

Point is, we need to stand up the city when they try forcing people to put in useless sidewalks or do it themselves then charge the property owners thousands for a few dozen feet of concrete.
