The Daily Bee article (April 22, 2016) regarding the Northside Fire levy failed to provide some vital details.

Among several mistakes, it was reported: “If approved, a home with an exempted value of $100,000 landowners would pay an additional $155.80 annually for three years.” This is misleading!

This will be a permanent levy override, tripling the current levy. It will require two-thirds approval to pass, and no public forums have been offered.

One of the current Northside Fire commissioners is Lewis Rich. This gentleman is now asking to be your county commissioner. In a recent published response, he chose to use the progressive’s favorite tactics of Saul Alinsky. You have to ask yourself why he would rather ridicule and belittle a citizen, rather than attempt to talk about the facts?

Once again, is this the type of “leadership” you want for Bonner County? Dan McDonald is the clear choice.
