There are two running for sheriff and I have known each about 18 years to different degrees. Terry Ford and I have crossed paths several times; each time impressing me as professional and genuinely a nice person. His time with ISP gives him years of experience but I don’t know Terry well enough to address his skills.

I’m writing this as I have seen a few negative comments about Daryl Wheeler and I wonder who they are talking about. The descriptions of Daryl are far from the person I have seen over the years privately, unselfishly giving of himself to people in need. I regularly follow the Bee and don’t recall seeing articles accusing the sheriff of malfeasant, immoral or any other negative conduct during his years in office. Let’s be fair to both candidates and leave personal feelings out.
