Shawn is the first female chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and co-chair of the powerful Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee and the only committee chairperson north of Riggins. She also has the most experience and seniority on JFAC. Without Shawn’s prominent position and respect in the Idaho Legislature, North Idaho would not receive the much-needed funding required to repair and modernize roads and bridges, update our education system, and protect our lake from invasive species.

Never a big spender she is a wise steward of our tax dollars. Shawn is never too busy to help, and always puts her constituents first.

I have known Sen. Keough for over 30 years and can personally vouch for her integrity and loyalty to Idaho and its residents. I especially appreciate her support of our Second Amendment rights.
