I was pleased to receive in my mailbox Saturday a postcard which was very revealing. In essence, it exposed our current state Sen. Shawn Keough for the political scoundrel she really is. Right? Of course it is right because the printed piece was in my mailbox and you can’t just put words on important information deliveries such as this and not be correct or accurate in the message you are delivering. After all, in this internet, mass communication world we live in if you say it or read it enough times, well, it becomes the truth. Right?

The fact is, from local to state to national politics we have simply worked our way into a place where campaigning for political office simply does not have to include the truth when delivering a message. And to some degree, I get it. We have a damaged political system. Extremism is becoming the norm rather than the exception based on desperation. But, if you want to learn the truth about a candidate, you may want to actually look at the candidates voting record on important topics for us, the citizens of Idaho and District 1. I am thankful for Senator Keough and what she brings to her elected position. I am grateful that any time I, or any Idaho citizen, needs to talk or correspond with Senator Keough she will respond and listen. She may not agree with your position but, she will listen. Even if you did not vote for her or share the same political perspectives as she does. In my mind, how much more can we, as citizens of Idaho and District 1, ask for.

By the way, I am selling a 2002 Dodge Caravan with 293,000 miles on it. It is in pristine condition, runs like a top and we have only hit one deer with it. I am only asking $8,000 for the car. And that must be a great deal because, well, I just said it in the printed word!
