Aug. 4
Officers checked on juveniles in the 1500 block of Pine Street after a welfare check was requested at 9:42 a.m.
Attempted computer fraud was reported in the 900 block of Alder Street at 10:04 a.m.
An officer was unable to contact the owner of a dog in the 500 block of W. Superior Street after a report of an animal problem at 10:33 a.m.
An officer checked on a child in a vehicle in the area of W. Superior and S. Division after a welfare check request at 11:27 a.m.
An officer located a diesel spill in the intersection of Fifth and Larch at 11:48 a.m.
An attempted grandchild-in-jail scam was reported in the 500 block of Olive Avenue at 1:09 p.m.
Extra patrol was requested for speeding vehicles in the Euclid Avenue area at 1:35 p.m.
A Sandpoint detective located a wanted female in the Larkspur Street area in Ponderay at 2:06 p.m.
Officers assisted with an oversized load in the 29900 block of Highway 200 that needed to get through town at 3:44 p.m.
A juvenile painted on the walls of a garage in the 1500 block of Hemlock Court at 3:15 p.m.
Officers attempted to locate a wanted subject in the 1300 block of Fir Street at 3:31 p.m.
A resident spoke to an officer in the police department lobby in the 1100 block of W. Lake Street regarding the anti-abortion protesters at 4:32 p.m.
A resident in the 500 block of S. Boyer Avenue spoke to an officer at 4:27 p.m. regarding a parking situation.
Information regarding an incident that occurred several weeks ago in the Church Street area was relayed to law enforcement at 5:07 p.m.
A hit-and-run occurred in a parking lot in the 500 block of N. Third Avenue at 5:09 p.m.
Two males got into an argument in the 700 block of Main Street at 6:11 p.m.
A follow-up report was taken in the St. Clair Avenue area at 6:03 p.m.
A problem with a reportedly abandoned cat in the 300 block of S. Fourth Avenue at 6:39 p.m. was resolved prior to the officer’s arrival.
An officer answered a citizen’s questions in the 4200 block of Samuelson Avenue at 8:03 p.m.
A 17-year-old Spirit Lake female was charged in the area of Baldy Mountain and Baldy Park roads at 10:15 p.m. with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia; and three other female juveniles were charged at the same time and location with frequenting.

Sandpoint officers assisted the county on a call in the 200 block of Bonner Mall Way in Ponderay at 12:26 a.m.
Two juveniles, who were reported to be throwing bottles in the 700 block of Ontario Street at 12:34 a.m. were already gone when officers arrived.
Report of a male and female fighting in the 300 block of Olive Avenue at 3:50 a.m.; no charges were pressed.
Unfounded alarm in the 1300 block of Highway 2 at 4:46 a.m.
