Robert James Nelson Sr. 88

Robert James Nelson Sr., 88, passed away Tuesday Aug. 9 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

He was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Mobridge, South Dakota, to Carl and Evelyn Nelson.

Bob was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his brother, William.

He is survived by his wife, Olive Nelson, whom he married over 62 years ago; bhis sons, Robert James (Katima) Nelson Jr., and Joseph Mayo (Robin) Nelson; his daughter, Marie Anne Nelson (Dwayne) Toland; his granddaughters, Cameo (Curtis) Chambers, Candice Nelson (TJ), and Kaitlan Nelson Dunaway, and grandson, Joseph (Jenny) Nelson; three great-granddaughters, Sadie, Macy and Charlotte; two great-grandsons, Cale and Camden; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a recognizable businessman in Sandpoint for many years.

He was proud to be Vandal and alumni of the University of Idaho.
