SANDPOINT POLICE

Aug. 9

Request for a welfare check on an elderly male on Halley Street at 6:51 a.m.; he was located in medical care.

A 16-year-old Sandpoint female was issued a promise to appear for battery on another juvenile in the 500 block of N. Third Avenue at 8:51 a.m.

A follow-up report was taken on Main Street at 8:52 a.m.

The owner of a barking dog in the 1100 block of Spruce Street at 11:38 a.m. was issued a warning.

A male was contacted by officers and advised not to contact a female in the 1500 block after a civil protection order complaint at 12:22 p.m.

Officers provided a courtesy transport to KBH for a juvenile after a report of suicide threats on Church Street at 12:43 p.m.

Found credit cards in the 1100 block of Michigan Street were returned to the owner at 1:41 p.m.

The owner of a vehicle parked the wrong way in the 700 block of N. Third Avenue was contacted and moved it at 4:19 p.m.

Kevin R McMillan, 37, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the area of Superior and Olive at 7:53 p.m. on a charge of driving under the influence after being reported as a reckless driver headed into town. He was cited on a charge of striking fixtures adjacent to the highway (guard rails).

An officer was unable to locate a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of S. Lincoln Avenue at 8:33 p.m.

A situation in the 200 block of N. First Avenue resolved itself before the officer arrived at 9:30 p.m.

Aug. 10

A dementia patient in the 200 block of S. Division Avenue was referred to staff for assistance at 1:42 a.m.

Another alarm in the 1300 block of Highway 2 at 2:47 a.m.; officers advised it was unfounded.

Aug. 9

An officer responded to a trespass in the area of 477400 block of Highway 95 at 12:15 p.m.

An office responded to a reckless driver complaint in the area of the Long Bridge on Highway 95 at 12:54 p.m.

An officer responded to a citizen assist in the 476700 block of Highway 95 at 2:32 p.m.

An officer responded to a non-injury crash in the 473000 block of Highway 95 at 10:43 p.m.
