In-person levy voting opens

SANDPOINT — In-person absentee voting in the Lake Pend Oreille School District’s $55 million facilities levy is available at the Bonner County Clerk’s Office.

The last day for in-person absentee voting is Friday, Aug. 26. The special election on the levy is on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

“I encourage you get out and vote and let your voice be heard,” county Clerk Michael Rosedale said.

Lake Pend Oreille School District generally encompasses the east half of Bonner County.

The clerk’s office is located on the first floor of the Bonner County Administration Building at the corner of U.S. Highway 2 and Division Avenue. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Elections personnel will be publicly testing its ballot-counting equipment at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Election-day voting will be at the usual polling precincts.
