The Bonner County Republican Central Committee passed a resolution on Aug. 16, 2016, advocating that the electors of the Lake Pend Oreille School District vote “against” the facility plant levy ballot question on Aug. 30.

The BCRCC will not be the party of “no.” Solutions will be proposed that may not comport with the current educational system plans but they will accomplish the proper educational needs of our children. The BCRCC believes in supporting local infrastructure when the spending is judicious, accountable and transparent to the elector. This $55 million levy is absent a great deal of information and answers to concerns predicated on complexity and history.

A vote of “against” represents a fiscally responsible and prudent philosophy of one school facility construction at a time to ensure proper and reasonable management of construction, as well as minimal financial imposition upon the tax-paying elector.
