Aikido classes offered

| August 18, 2016 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Area adults are invited to join Aikido Idaho for an intro program on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Sept. 6–28, from noon to 1:30 p.m. each day.

Aikido Idaho and Takayama Dojo, located at 521 Cedar St., bring more than 30 years of authentic Japanese martial arts experience to Idaho. Aikido Idaho teaches a non-competitive, nonviolent martial art which focuses on flexibility, body awareness, balance and stability in motion.

Students learn to grow both internally and externally through experiencing formality, discipline, sharing and challenge. With time students learn what it means to be a responsible member of a safe and caring community.

The fee is $89/participant ($2 in-city discount) and includes a gi (uniform). Pre-register by Aug. 29 at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation (1123 Lake St.) to guarantee your spot in the class.

For more information, call 263-3613.
