| August 21, 2016 1:00 AM

CALDWELL — Led by Dawson Mulder, the Bulldogs scored early and often, capping an early season road trip south with a 10-1 dispatching of Vallivue on Saturday in nonleague boys soccer action in Caldwell.

Mulder found the back of the net four times, Christian Dressel dished out three assists to go with a goal, and Charlie Crane added a goal and three assists to pace the attack.

After falling to 5A Mountain View on Friday night, the Bulldogs (1-1) flashed some of the firepower that will make them a force in the 4A ranks, handling Vallivue, which dropped from 5A to 4A this year. Vallivue’s only goal came on a penalty kick, the third the Bulldogs have yielded in two games.

Sandpoint hosts Coeur d’Alene in a home opener on Wednesday.
