Another levy assessment on top of the one we already have. Oh, this one is for new buildings, like that’s something different, but isn’t it asking for more money from just the ones who pay taxes on property they own, while others who get to vote pay no property taxes, realize the same benefits while others, who own property get no vote at all.

Years ago, the school board and teachers pushed for the Idaho sale tax which passed; it would take care of all school funding. Now instead of the state of Idaho coming with the money to take care of each student in Idaho equally, now they come up with levy assessments that pass in some areas but not others, so students don’t get the same education. This is wrong. The state needs to step up and give each student a chance for equal education, but as long as the people come up with levy money the state can find places to spend the money they should be using for schools.

P.S. Get out and vote no Aug. 30. Remember, a yes vote will more than double your levy taxes.

Less than 30 percent of the voters passed the levy last time.
