Bernard 'Bernie' Chorne, 61

Bernard “Bernie” Chorne passed away Aug. 1, 2016, in Portland, Ore. He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Rolla, N.D., to Arthur and Alice Richardson. He was later adopted by Laudie and Verna Chorne.

He attended schools in North Dakota, Sandpoint, Idaho, and graduated high school in Texas. He also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a son, Ashley Fleck and wife, Magda, of Lake in the Woods, Ill.; four grandchildren, Maja, Natalia, Kalina and Lu Kasz Fleck; his mother, Verna Chorne of Bismark, N.D.; his sister, Betty Richardson of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Donna Kedish of Sandpoint; and a brother, Dean LaRocque of Holden, Mo.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at Pack River Cemetery.

Rest in peace, little brother. You will be in our hearts forever.
