Man killed by passing train

SAMUELS — A Sandpoint man was killed while walking on railroad tracks on Monday, according to Idaho State Police.
The man was identified as Adam Keith Ferris, 23. State police said alcohol may have played a role in the deadly incident.
The collision happened at 5:16 p.m. at the Samuels Road crossing along U.S. Highway 95. The incident remained under investigation on Tuesday.
A death notice portrayed the incident as an accident. Ferris worked at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and local restaurants.
